The sold out wine dinner, Carnevale di Venezia, was held on Feb. 10, 2010<b> </b>at <a href="http://www.pizzeriamimosa.com/">Pizzeria Mimosa</a>.<b><br /></b></div>

The dinner started with Baccala Affumicato Crostini. From Kodiak, Alaska, wild caught smoked black cod (Sablefish) crostini prepared with our own version of the traditional Venetian <a href="http://www.monicacesarato.com/blog/2012/11/13/the-origins-of-baccala-mantecato/">Mantecato </a> which is one of the most ancient and typical dishes in Venice, Italy. The crostini was first spread with a layer of mascarpone and the smoked baccala in the traditional Mantecato style with the smoked wild caught black cod, and then topped with chunks of the fish. It was paired with a 2008 <a href="http://www.tedeschiwines.com/azienda.php?lg=eng">Tedeschi</a> Capitel Tenda D.O.C. Soave Classico from Verona, Italy. </div>
